Yale Pediatric Orthopaedics
The Departments of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation and Pediatrics are committed to providing medical care that is sensitive to the pediatric patient's social, emotional and developmental needs. Working in conjunction with the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital, the Section of Pediatric Orthopaedics is part of a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to the management of children's illnesses and is one of only two such programs in Connecticut. The team works with several pediatric specialty clinics in caring for patients with a wide spectrum of orthopaedic conditions which arise in this age group.
Among special services offered are the following:
- Hemophilia
- Scoliosis
- Cerebral palsy
- Congenital disorders of the hip
- Myelomeningocele
- Neurofibromatosis
- Congenital anomalies of the hand
