Dr. Pinar Kodaman, MD, PhD
Dr. Kodaman is Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Yale School of Medicine and serves as the Director of the Advanced Endoscopic Reproductive Surgery Program specializing in surgery for fibroids, endometriosis, and other female reproductive disorders. In addition to advanced endoscopic reproductive surgery, Dr. Kodaman’s interests include infertility, abnormal uterine bleeding, primary ovarian insufficiency, PCOS, and Asherman’s syndrome. Dr. Kodaman also serves as one of the physicians in the PCOS Program at Yale where her focus is the cardiovascular risks associated with this endocrine disorder.
Dr Kodaman received her medical training at the Yale School of Medicine and her graduate degree in pharmacology from Yale University. She subsequently completed her internship and residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, also at Yale.
Dr. Kodaman is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and board eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She has over 30 publications and multiple research interests, including the regulation of angiogenesis and the effects of oxidative stress on reproductive function. She serves as a reviewer for various scientific journals, has lectured at numerous meetings, and plays an active role in educating undergraduates, medical students, and residents at Yale.
