Dr. Pal, MBBS, MRCOG, MS, is Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences. She is the Director the Program for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) at Yale Reproductive Endocrinology. Her areas of clinical and research interests include ovulatory disorders including polycystic ovary syndrome and reproductive dysfunction of obesity, menopause, infertility and skeletal health. More recently, Dr. Pal’s research has focused on the multisystem implications of vitamin D with a specific focus on reproductive physiology.
Dr. Pal is a graduate of Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan, Dr. Pal received her initial postgraduate training in the United Kingdom (she is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, London, United Kingdom). She completed a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Yale New Haven Hospital. She then completed a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University and a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She was on faculty at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology & Women’s Health, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center, NY as an Assistant Professor from 2003 until October 2007. She was a recipient of the NIH-K12 Mentored Clinical Researcher Award, and attained a Masters degree in Clinical Research Methods from the Yeshiva University in 2006.
Dr. Pal is a member of the Androgen Excess Society as well as of the Endocrine Society, has previously served as a member of the New Initiatives and the CME Advisory committees of the Endocrine Society; in 2009, she was selected as the Menopause Special Interest Group representative to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine Membership Committee and currently serves as the Vice-Chair for the ASRM Menopause Special Interest Group (2010). Dr. Pal is Board Certified in OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
