Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery

The Yale Section of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery treats women with disorders arising from pelvic floor dysfunction, such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and interstitial cystitis.

Our goal is to help women understand their condition and recognize their symptoms, and to match women with the treatment that best suits their condition, comfort level, and lifestyle.

Our doctors are active researchers working to advance understanding of pelvic floor dysfunction. One of our focuses is developing minimally-invasive treatment options, and our patients are the first to benefit from these advances.

What is Urogynecology?

Urogynecology is a subfield of gynecology dealing with pelvic floor dysfunction, a range of symptoms caused by damage to the muscles of the pelvic floor.
