Dr. Rickey received her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and went on to complete a urology residency and an accredited fellowship in Urogynecology/Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center. She was an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine prior to coming to Yale. Her fellowship training in urogynecology took place in a unique program that integrated highly skilled physicians from both Urology and Gynecology programs. This experience has given her the expertise to provide the most advanced care available for women with problems related to the lower urinary tract and the pelvic floor including urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and genitourinary tract fistulas. Her research interests include surgical education and surgical outcomes, and she has been an investigator in the NIH sponsored Urinary Incontinence Treatment Network (UITN) for the past five years. Dr. Rickey is board certified by the American Board of Urology with subspecialty certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and utilizes both non-surgical and minimally invasive procedures to provide personalized treatment options for each patient.
