- Chemotherapy for the treatment of gynecologic cancers
- Radiation therapy for the management of gynecologic malignancies
The Division of Gynecologic Oncology brings together a clinical team whose primary focus is fighting these cancers through diagnosis and treatment. What makes Yale gynecologic Oncology unique is the special training and research excellence of our team. Our physicians are all board certified in gynecologic oncology. This is a subspecialty that unites expertise in surgery with know-how in the treatment of cancer in women.
The resources available to our referring physicians and patients are best described as comprehensive and state-of-the art. Our physicians are part of the Yale Comprehensive Cancer Center, the cornerstone of our resources devoted to the fight against cancer. Yale's comprehensive cancer center is the only one in southern New England to receive this designation by the National Cancer Institute. An example of Yale's commitment to the fight against cancer is our Early Ovarian Cancer Detection Program. As the first early detection program in the State, Yale's program has helped hundreds of women to better understand their risk.
