There is no single factor that we use to decide who will be invited for interviews. We are primarily looking for evidence that candidates have the ability and motivation to develop into skilled, caring and competent clinical neurologists. On top of that, we give preference to those individuals that we believe are likely to contribute globally to health care, either through future clinical or basic neuroscience research, teaching or public health efforts. We look for evidence of these qualities through prior academic achievement, a track record in public service or neuroscience / neurological research, the personal statement, and letters of reference.
After review of your application materials, we will send out invitations for interviews by email. These interviews will take place in the LCI building, 7th floor. On the scheduled date of your interview, please plan to arrive at 8:45 AM. Go into the Boardman Building Eye Center entrance on Cedar Street or the Dana Building entrance on Howard Avenue, and the security guard will give you directions. You will interview during the morning, have lunch, and tour the hospital and the Yale campus during the afternoon. There is a dinner with the current residents on the evening before each interview date. Your parking ticket will be validated if you park in the Yale Physician's Building Garage on Howard Avenue. Please bring your ticket to the interviews with you
