Curriculum

Fellows train in the neuroscience intensive care unit for 12 months. One month each is spent in the cardiac or medical intensive care unit, trauma/surgical intensive care unit and with neuroanesthesiology. Fellows also have the unique opportunity to spend at least one dedicated month with the Yale ICU EEG program. Six months of elective are available over to pursue selected training and career development activities.

Fellows also participate and often lead weekly ICU based conferences including morbidity and mortality, journal club, and quality improvement. There is a dedicated didactic session for fellows twice a month which complements a general critical care curriculum jointly offered by our partners ICU’s at Yale New Haven Hospital.
