Overview & Mission
Research activities represent a major mission of the department. With the emphasis on inter-disciplinary research, our department has broad expertise and continues to make significant advances in basic and clinical medicine. Areas of major emphasis include structural biology, immunobiology, stem cell and cancer biology, virology, hematology, and molecular diagnostics.
Resources & Facilities for Research
Departmental faculty oversee the Yale Center of Excellence in Molecular Hematology, and school-wide facilities for Immune Monitoring, Cellular Therapy, Flow Cytometry, Bimolecular NMR, and Two-photon Microscopy for in vivo imaging.
