Biographical Info

Won prestigious Becton-Dickinson award from the American Society for Microbiology for clinical research that lead to fundamental changes in the way the field of Clinical Microbiology is practiced, 2008. Developed the Defined Substrate Technology tests -Colilert, Colisure, Enterolert - for drinking water, wastewater, and beach water analysis. Discovered the association between Streptotococcus bovis and colonic carcinoma.
