The Social Perception and Interaction Research Lab (SPIRL) is a research lab in the Center for Translational Developmental Neuroscience.  Our primary goal is to improve our understanding of how we think about, perceive, and act toward the people around us. We use functional neuroimaging combined with behavioral experiments and computational models to study social cognition in children and adults.

Developmental and Pediatric Neuroimaging

Our secondary goal is to work with collaborators in a variety of different fields looking at many different developmental disorders to provide them with state-of-the-art methods, analyses, neuroimaging expertise.
