Slide 8a

Stimulating the nCRF+CRF results in an increase in spiking in fast spiking GABAergic inhibitory interneurons

Figure 8a. The action potential activity of fast spiking inhibitory interneurons, which are typically basket or chandelier cells, was anti-sparse. Meaning that nCRF+CRF stimulation with a wide field visual stimulus resulted in less selective action potential responses and more spikes than CRF stimulation alone. This result is consistent with the increase in IPSPs with nCRF+CRF stimulation as found in RSc pyramidal neurons.
