Current Research & Projects

The Krause Laboratory is currently pursuing three major projects. The first is focused on defining the molecular mechanism(s) that regulate gene expression during developmental hematopoiesis. Using molecular biological techniques, we are identifying epigenetic modifications that occur during lineage commitment and correlating these changes with mRNA expression using deep sequencing approaches. The second is focused on mechanisms of leukemogenesis, while the third focuses on how bone marrow derived cells become mature lung epithelial cells.
