Associate Professor of Medicine (Pulmonary)
My research interest is to define pathogenetic mechanism of lung diseases using transgenic and knock out animal models. Currently I am focusing to investigate the role of cytokines (such as TGF-beta or IL-13) or other mediators (such as chitinases or chitinase-like proteins) in the development of allergic inflammation and airway remodeling. Asthma, pulmonary fibrosis and chronic obstructive lung diseases are target diseases of my research.
