Data Retrieval

We strongly recommend downloading your data as soon as possible and creating your own back up copy for your records.

 

How to Download Sequencing Data

1.  When your data is finished analyzing you will receive confirmation a e-mail containing the appropriate link to your data, and the flow cell layout.

 

2.  After opening the e-mailed link, you will be directed to the site where you can download your data. Within this web page there will be another link called GERALD. At times there may be more than one GERALD link, so please select the one with your appropriate lanes.

 

3.  When going into GERALD you will see the following:

Pattern Selection:  

4. Click on the Box named:

 

s_<A>_<B>_sequence.txt

<A>: 1—8

<B>: 1,2

Text will appear in the Pattern Selection Box. From there go to the top of page and click on Select Files.

5.  This hyperlink will take you to a page that displays the sequence files for all of the lanes on this particular flow cell. Please select and download the appropriate ones. Also, please make note that if you have run a paired-end run, there will be two sequence files per lane.

6.  Downloading your data will take some time so please be patient. Also, be sure that you are connected to the Yale Network and have enough memory on your computer to handle all of the data.
