The Office of Institutional Planning & Communications supports a variety of institutional initiatives and events, including school-wide strategic planning, print and electronic publishing, and the development of the medical school website and template design as a platform for both information and operations.
The office houses the Strategic Development and Marketing group of the Yale Medical Group, the school's 800-member faculty practice, and Yale Medicine Publications, which produces the school's flagship magazine Yale Medicine, the bimonthly newsletter Medicine@Yale, the monthly newsletter Yale Practice, and the student-edited Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine.
