Tyeese Gaines, DO, MA is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Emergency Medicine. In addition, Dr. Gaines is an attending at community hospitals in New Jersey. She has supplemented her medical career with a decade-long career in journalism, educating the public on health issues. She is now serving as health editor for theGrio.com, a division of MSNBC, and appears as a medical expert on WNBC and MSNBC. She also serves on the governing council of the American Medical Association’s Minority Affairs Section. She has been recently honored with Top 40 under 40 awards from the National Medical Association and the National Leadership Council.
