Biographical Info

Dr. Jagminas is a graduate of the Brown University School of Medicine. He joined the Yale faculty in 2009 as Vice-Chair and Director of Clinical Operations. He previously served as the physician in chief of
Emergency Medicine at Memorial Hospital of RI; a Brown University affiliated teaching hospital. During that time he received the
Emergency Medicine resident teaching award, the Teaching Recognition
Citation and the Deans Teaching awards from the Warren Alpert Medical
School of Brown University.
He has lectured both nationally and internationally, has
published original research, authored chapters in several textbooks and
has received extramural research support from the NIH, NHLBI and the
SBIR.
Dr. Jagminas has served in various capacities on the board
of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) both locally and nationally and was chapter president as well as state councilor for several years. In addition, he is an examiner for the American Board of Emergency Medicine, a reviewer for the
International Trauma Anesthesia and Critical Care Society as well as
the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine. He has served on various
task forces for ACEP and SAEM; most recently the Consultation Service
Task Force and the ED Crowding Task Force.
His interests include the integration of EHRs, operational efficiencies utilizing best practices and innovative care delivery systems, as well as medical documentation and coding.
During his free time
he has served as field medical officer for AmeriCares and performed
international relief work and emergency medicine teaching in Armenia,
Ukraine, Lithuania and Latvia.
