Biography

Dr. Tetrault’s scholarly work focuses on the medical co-morbidities associated with substance abuse, mainly HIV and Hepatitis C. Dr. Tetrault is a physician providing primary care and buprenorphine/naloxone treatment at the Central Medical Unit of the APT Foundation, a multi-specialty addiction treatment facility. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine, is credentialed as an HIV provider through the American Academy of HIV Medicine and serves as an attending physician at Yale New Haven Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Tetrault is a clinician-educator whose focus is on the medical comorbidities associated with substance use and abuse. She is the Program Director for the Yale Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program. She serves as Team Leader for Yale Medical School and the Department of Internal Medicine, including the Primary Care, Traditional Medicine and Medicine-Pediatrics Residencies in the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Screening, Brief Intervention and Treatment (SBIRT) Residency Initiative.
