Research Summary

We are developing a web based educational system for medical students. The current project involves substance abuse education for medical students, and it will be expanded to include psychiatry education for medical students in 2011. The system presents basic information in text, graphs, figures, animations, movies with interactive glossary, flash cards, quizzes, and interactive case studies. There are opportunities for medical students and residents to be involved in its construction.

Extensive Research Description

Medical students and residents can be involved in the project by reviewing the literature on a selected topic and constructing summary text, figures, graphs quizzes and case studies that illustrate and test mastery of key concepts. The educational system will be made available to all medical schools in the USA.
