Biographical Info

Donna J. Chapman, Ph.D., R.D. is an Associate Research Scientist at the Yale School of Public Health and she serves as the Associate Editor of the Journal of Human Lactation. Her research interests include evaluating breastfeeding interventions targeting Latinas, understanding breastfeeding as a health disparities issue, and identifying determinants of delayed lactogenesis. Her research has provided scientific support for the role of the breastfeeding peer counselor in the United States. Dr. Chapman has published 26 research papers, 21 review articles and has presented her research at numerous conferences. She earned her M.S. from Boston University, and her B.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut.
