Biographical Info

Barbara Kirrane, M.D. is a board certified Emergency Physician and Medical Toxicologist. In addition to clinical responsibilities, Dr. Kirrane is the faculty advisor for the second year resident Toxicology rotation, and serves as a consultant to the Connecticut Poison Control Center as well as the New York Poison Control Center. Additionally she participates as a faculty leader in both resident and medical student simulation sessions. Dr Kirrane has several papers accepted in the medical literature this year. Her research interests include the optimal treatment of clenbuterol toxicity as well as prevention of adverse drug events. She has research projects underway to further study these topics.
