Biographical Info

Anthony F. Porto, MD, MPH is director of gastrointestinal programs at Greenwich Hospital. He will lead outreach initiatives and has a particular interest in obesity related liver diseases and dyslipidemia in children. Dr. Porto received his medical and master of public health degrees from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric internship and residency at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY, and his fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology at Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Porto was an attending physician at New York Hospital Queens, Flushing, NY, where he was also director of the Fit Kids Childhood Obesity Program. Prior to joining the staff at YNHCH, Dr. Porto was an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at Cornell University.
