Timeline for Selection

The application process begins 18 months before candidates seek entrance into the Program. Appointments are effective July 1 each year.
  • February 28, 2013 - Application deadline
  • March 2013 - Notification of interviews
  • April 12, 2013 - Interviews must be completed
  • Late June 2013 - Candidates notified of acceptance into Program
  • July 1, 2014 - Entry of Scholars into the Program

Sample Interview Day Schedule 

  • 8:15 am - Arrive at Yale Medical School 
  • 8:30-9:00 am - Breakfast with Scholar day host
  • 9:00-9:30 am - Orientation and Program Overview
  • 9:30 am-12:00 pm - 3 30-minute interviews
  • 12:15-1:00 pm - Lunch with Scholars
  • 1:00-1:30 pm - Community research discussion
  • 1:30-4:30 pm - 3-4 30-minute interviews
  • 4:30-5:00 pm - Clinical opportunities and other frequently asked questions session (optional)
  • 5:30-7:00 pm - Informal dinner with Scholars (optional)
