The residents participate in a 4-session biostatistics curriculum, which emphasizes the proper interpretation of statistical test results found in the medical literature7,8. They also use this time to plan a statistical analysis for their own research proposals. Residents have multiple opportunities to apply the knowledge learned in the biostatistics course throughout the rest of the ambulatory curriculum especially during the Evidence Based Medicine and Journal Club series.
