Interviews
Interviews for each Yale Internal Medicine Residency Program occur on selected dates in November, December and January each year. Once an ERAS application has been approved by the Yale Selection Committee, invitations are emailed to applicants through the ERAS Post Office (please see How to Apply for more information.)

Hotels
There are several hotels located in the vicinity of the Yale-New Haven Hospital and Yale Medical School that are either in walking distance of your interview location or may offer shuttle services. We’ve negotiated special rates for Internal Medicine Residency Applicants at a few of the local hotels. Please read below to learn how to take advantage of these discounts.

You must ask for the “Yale Internal Medicine Applicants” rate when making reservations to receive the special rate. This hotel is NOT located within walking distance to your interview (see next paragraph about shuttle service). There is free parking.
The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service that runs from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily to accommodate guests. Guests should make shuttle arrangements upon check-in or the night before any shuttle service needs required early in the morning the next day. The hotel shuttle can provide transportation to/from Yale School of Medicine Campus, to/from Union Station (train) in New Haven, and to/from Tweed New Haven Airport. Additionally, CT Limo service has a scheduled stop to the Holiday Inn in North Haven from Bradley International Airport (CT) and both New York Airports (JFK and LaGuardia) that runs on the hour.

This Hotel is in walking distance to your interviews. The Omni has a sedan service that runs from 7am-9am and again from 4:30pm-6:30pm within a 3 mile radius of the hotel. The sedan service will pick up and drop off at the Yale New Haven Hospital (very near your interviews) as well as the Union Station (train station) and Tweed Airport. Travel time from Bradley International Airport to Yale-New Haven Hospital is approximately 45 minutes by car. Car rentals are available at the airport, or you may contact Connecticut Limo at 1-800-472-LIMO.
Westchester County Airport (a.k.a. White Plains Airport)

Travel time for Westchester Airport is 1 hour and 5 minutes. Car rentals are available.
New York Airports (LaGuardia and JFK)
Serviced by all major airlines including Jet Blue and Air Tran which tend to cost less and are both no frills airlines!
Travel time to Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven varies depending on your method of transportation, but will range between 1 hour and 20 minutes to as much as 2 hours or more.
There are many methods of traveling to New Haven after arriving at a New York City airport. One option is to take the New York Airport Service Shuttle to Grand Central Station. From Grand Central Station, connect to the Metro North Railroad which will take you to the New Haven station. Caution: when viewing schedules on the Metro North website, make sure you choose New Haven as your destination NOT New Haven-State Street.
Connecticut Limo, 1-800-472-LIMO, also provides shuttle services from New York Airports to New Haven. Connecticut Limo is the preferred method of travel.
Alternatively, you may take a shuttle from a New York airport to Penn Station and connect to an Amtrak train. Amtrak trains are more expensive than the Metro Rail so unless you have a USA Rail pass, it is not recommended that you travel via Amtrak.
