Biographical Info

Praveen Mannam MD, MS is a new member of the Pulmonary and Critical care department at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Mannam received his medical degree from Stanley Medical College, Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, India. He earned masters degree in microbiology and molecular biology at Oregon State University and completed both an internship and residency in internal medicine at Drexel University, Philadelphia. He then completed fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Yale University and joined the faculty as an Instructor in July 2011. Dr. Mannam’s clinical and research interests are in innate immune mechanisms in sepsis and acute lung injury. He is funded by the American Heart Association, the National Institute of Aging and the Claude D. Pepper Center / Yale Program on Aging.
