How to Apply
Applicants interested in the HIV Training Track can apply through the Yale Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program. Important application information can be found at the Yale Internal Medicine Residency website.
Please note, we participate in the National Residency Matching Program, and do not accept any applicants outside of the match.
All matched interns who would like to participate in the Yale HIV Training Track will be asked to write a brief statement to describe the reason for their interest in the program. Three interns will be selected each year.
Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program
The Primary Care Internal Medicine Program seeks to train physicians who desire a generalist background to their careers in medicine, whether that career is as a general internist, a subspecialist, a practitioner, an educator or a researcher. A deep and broad foundation in internal medicine is essential for all of these career paths. We also believe that very few students have had enough exposure in medical school to know with certainty the exact niche of internal medicine and it’s subspecialties that best suits their personality, interests and talents.
