Research Opportunities
Yale Med Students/PA Students/EPH students
The Downs Fellowship supports graduate and professional Yale Students who undertake health-related research primarily in low- and middle-income countries. The Downs Fellowship provides opportunities for challenging experiences abroad as Fellows create and improvise in the face of unforeseen events, acquiring new perspectives on their responsibilities and capabilities as professionals. The Downs Fellowship Committee makes awards based on merit.

Yale Residents
Residents have the opportunity to focus their research projects on issues related to global health and social disparity. However, this must be done through the Research in Residency Program of the Department of Medicine. The research project must be hypothesis-driven and supervised by a Yale faculty. The project must be submitted to Dr. Vincent Quagliarello, Director of Research in Residency Program in the Department of Medicine. For more information about this program, please contact Marilyn Powers.
