- Advance the field of multi-factorial geriatric health condition research;
- Provide access for researchers to needed resources;
- Monitor the progress of projects;
- Foster junior faculty development;
- Encourage investigators from multiple disciplines to engage in aging research.
The Leadership and Administrative Core is co-directed by Thomas M. Gill, MDand Terri R. Fried, MD, who are responsible for ensuring that the goals of the Center are met. The co-directors receive advice and counsel from the Executive Committee which includes Directors and Associate Directors of each core, plus faculty who serve at large. An External Advisory panel of senior scientists reviews the Center's progress.
