Directing the implementation of an outpatient CHF service line for the Heart and Vascular Center at Yale New Haven Hospital measuring the impact of community efforts on readmission rates and resource utlization.
Dr Gerber serves as Co-Director of Outpatient Research with an established record as investigator in the fields of anticoagulation management, atrial fibrillation, and new treatments of high cholesterol. Novel blood thinner agents and new classes of medication for treatment of elevated lipids are currently being explored.
In the area of Health Economics, Dr Gerber supervises the CHF Readmission Reduction program at Yale New Haven Hospital, establishing more efficient integrated models of care in the community to ensure best practices, and improve the efficiency of the health care system.
