YCRG has forged an ongoing collaboration with the Yale Center for Analytical Sciences (YCAS) to provide biostatistical support for clinical trials, including trial design, sample size calculations, and protocol-defined statistical analysis and statistical analysis plans. We also provide independent statistical support for Data Safety Monitoring Boards, regulatory filings and responses, and trial-related publications.
YCAS is a center for collaborative science under the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) that brings together Yale's existing academic strengths in biostatistics, epidemiology, health economics, medical informatics, and health services research. YCAS employs 17 core biostatisticians, including 7 PhD-level positions, and is supported by 14 affiliated YSPH faculty members with a wide variety of specialized expertise.
YCAS areas of statistical expertise include:
- Design, conduct, and analysis of phase I, II and III clinical trials and post marketing surveillance studies;
- Longitudinal observational studies;
- Survival analysis;
- Linear models and structural equation modeling;
- Categorical data analysis;
- Sequential monitoring;
- Data monitoring committees;
- Statistical genetics;
- Cost effectiveness analysis;
- Missing data; and
- Bayesian methods.
