Chris Covington, MA is a Research Associate on Dr. Chris Moore's AHRQ grant, which seeks to create a decision rule to limit CT scanning of patients with suspected renal colic. He also works on Dr. Lori Post's AHRQ grant which seeks to identify disability and reduce ED recidivism in older patients.

Teresa C. Kenyon is the Lead Research Associate for Dr. Steve Bernstein's study, Implementation of HIT-Enhanced Tobacco Treatment for Hospitalized Smokers

Cali Luco, MPA is a Research Associate in the Emergency Medicine Research Office. She has a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and a Master's in Public Administration. She previously worked at another university where she focused on pre-award applications and post-award program administration. Prior to joining Yale, she was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala.

Shara Martel, MPH is a Research Associate working on the SAMHSA SBIRT study.

Patricia Owens, MS has been conducting public health research at Yale since 1987. She joined Emergency Medicine in 1991 and currently is directing several federally funded research studies.

June Rosner is the Program Manager for the studies Treating Low-Income Smokers in the Hospital Emergency Department and HIT-Enhanced Tobacco Treatment for Hospitalized Smokers.

Simone A. Schneegans is a Research Assistant in the Emergency Department's Section of Research. She assists faculty with pre-award grant preparation and maintains the departmental website.

Administrative

Hilmer Ayuso was born and raised in New York and worked in the Big Apple until she moved to Connecticut in 2007. She assists the Ultrasound Division. She is currently pursuing an Associate's degree in Human Resource Management. She has worked with Yale since 2008.

Nicole Benevento-Slabaugh is a Business Office Financial Analyst II and has all post-award financial responsibility.

Kathy Bozzi currently serves as a Senior Administrative Assistant, providing assistance to the Administration Division. She has been with Emergency Medicine since 2007.

Samuel Calabria is a Certified Professional Coder for the clinical faculty of Emergency Medicine.

Jaydale Codrington-Poyotte, BS assists the Division of Simulation. She received her BS from the University of Houston and is pursuing her MBA, with a concentration in Human Resources Management, at the University of New Haven. Cathy Corso is the Senior Administrative Assistant to Drs. Post and Vaca and assists the research faculty and RAs of Research Development. She has worked with Yale since 2011.

Kathleen Edwards is a Certified Professional Coder for the clinical faculty of Emergency Medicine.

Josh Horowitz is a Financial Assistant in the Emergency Medicine Department Business Office. He was born at New Haven Hospital and raised just outside of the city. He recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Economics.

Kenneth Kader is a Business Office Accountant.

Ana Maduriera currently serves as the Administrative Assistant for the Residency Program and the Division of Education. She has been with Yale-New Haven Hospital since 1986.

Patricia Moran is the Clinical Practice Specialist for Emergency Medicine who oversees reimbursement received from all Insurance Companies and works in conjunction with YMG on contract negotiations with specific insurance carriers.

Dianne Munger is a Certified Professional Coder responsible for coding physician services provided in the ED.

Doreen Neelans is a Clinical Practice Specialist who oversees the clinical coding and billing as well as physician documentation education.

Jamie Petrone-Codrington, AS is the Assistant Administrator for the Department of Emergency Medicine and manages the daily administrative and operational activities of the department. She is responsible for managing faculty affairs, overseeing faculty recruitment, as well as credentialing. She serves as primary contact with Human Resources with regard to Human Resource activities. In addition, Jamie provides administrative support to the Chair. She has been with Emergency Medicine since 1999.

Theresa Pierson, BS is currently the Administrator of the Department of Emergency Medicine Business Office. She first came to Yale in 1980. She spent the last three and a half years on the central campus initially as a participant in the career development program offered through the Shared Science Service Branch and then went on to become the Business manager for the Department of Astronomy. Prior to transferring to the central campus, Theresa was the Clinical Practice Manager for the Departments of Pediatrics and Surgery and held clinical roles in the Department of Orthopaedics and PFS. Theresa received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Albertus Magnus College.

Lisa Platt is a Certified Professional Coder for the clinical faculty of Emergency Medicine.

Jackeline Santana is a Senior Administrative Assistant who works with the Global Health Fellowship.

Linda Shields, C-TAGME began her time at the Yale-New Haven Medical Center in 1982, working in various positions for departments and sections including Development, Hematology, Laboratory Medicine and Human Resources. She joined Emergency Medicine as an employee of the Department of Emergency Services in December 1993. Having assisted the faculty with gaining accreditation for and establishing the residency program, she has been the Residency Coordinator since the program's inception, and was here to help welcome the first class in 1996.

Christina Starr, MA is an Accountant in the Emergency Medicine Business Office. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She has over eight years of Sponsored Program Administration experience.

Rebecca Sullivan, BA currently serves as the Senior Administrative Assistant for the Division of Administration. She received her undergraduate degree from Albertus Magnus College in 2002 and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has worked at the University since 2005 and joined Emergency Medicine in 2008.

Charlene Whiteman, AS joined the Yale Arbovirus Research Unit 40 years ago, in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health. YARU was first funded by the Rockefeller Foundation in New York and later by NIH and International research grants. In 1980, after a brief maternity leave, she joined the MacArthur Center for Molecular Parasitology in the Department of Internal Medicine. The research unit was very shortly moved into the Laboratory of Epidemiology and Public Health, so there she was again, back in LEPH for the next 20 years. When one of her favorite faculty members in EPH took a position at George Washington University, she came to work for Sandy Bogucki and David Cone in Emergency Medical Services where she has been for the last eleven years.
