Ryan Carter, MD, MPH, MPP is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Section of EMS. Dr. Carter graduated from Boston University School of Medicine (2005), completed his residency training at Boston Medical Center (2009), and then pursued further fellowship training in EMS at Rhode Island Hospital (2011). During his training, Dr. Carter supplemented his clinical work with scholarly pursuits, earning two masters degrees: Public Health and Public Policy. His academic interests focus on how health policy impacts both hospital-based emergency department practice and prehospital clinical providers. Dr. Carter is also committed to the education and teaching of medical students, residents, and EMS providers, and is responsible for the EMS curriculum for the emergency medicine residency..
