About Us
The Department of Emergency Medicine of the Yale University School of Medicine/Yale-New Haven Medical Center is a premier department emphasizing and investing in its three core missions:
- To create new knowledge and promote scholarship in the field of Emergency Medicine as it relates to the science of disease, clinical practice, education and health policy
- To educate future leaders and scholars who will advance the practice of Emergency Medicine
- To provide quality patient care
There are a total 47 faculty members: 31 academic, 5 clinical, 9 instructors and 2 associate research scientists. We offer three fellowships, Ultrasound (2), EMS (1) and Global Health (2). We currently have 51 residents.
