International Students

Yale provides many opportunities for medical students to broaden their education and hone their clinical skills by experiencing medicine as it is practiced throughout the world. Conversely, we enrich our learning environment in New Haven by providing opportunities for top students from international schools to come to Yale for clinical electives.

In 2006, the Office of International Medical Student Education (OIMSE) was founded to help students do clinical electives and research abroad and to support students from other countries who come to Yale for clinical rotations. For more information, including a list of clinical electives, the application forms you’ll need to fill out and the deadlines, go to http://medicine.yale.edu/globalhealth.
