Fifth Year
Many students at the medical school choose to take a fifth year to continue their research, pursue a joint degree or further their education in other ways. Students planning to do an extended study year should meet with the associate dean for student affairs and the director of financial aid.
Students must obtain approval for an extended year of study from the associate dean for student affairs and must complete the change of status form and tuition specification form with the registrar and office of financial aid. Any extended study that exceeds one year must be approved by the Progress Committee.
