Module Career Lunches

Module Career Luncheons are scheduled in coordination with specialties related to the specified organ system that second year students are engaged in learning. During each organ system based module, there is a luncheon to discuss careers in specialties related to that particular organ system. These luncheons strongly encourage diverse representation from both the academic and private sector reflecting career differences related to specialty and sub-specialty areas (pediatric, adult, and/or surgical), gender, culture, etc. to best illustrate a comprehensive overview of that particular specialty. For example, during the Cardiovascular Module, physicians who practice in Cardiology, Pediatric Cardiology or Cardiovascular Surgery are available to discuss their careers. The physicians are encouraged to honestly discuss their individual career choices, ways in which they cope with personal and professional obligations and the positive and negative aspects of their career choices.

These luncheons are open to all medical students. If you are not in the 2nd year class and plan on attending a module lunch, you must contact robin.pinsker@yale.edu to reserve your space for lunch. Module lunches are provided for 2nd year students only that are scheduled for the modules.
