Career Development

Deciding on a career path in medicine is a process that can span the entire time you are in medical school. Many of you will choose careers in clinical or academic medicine. Others will go into biomedical research. Still others will apply their medical educations in nontraditional ways.

The Office of Student Affairs has developed a career planning program  to help you make these choices, and make the process as stimulating and enjoyable as possible. Our four-year program helps students every step of the way, from finding mentors at Yale, to deciding on a specialty, to applying for residencies, and more.
