The Program for Biomedical Ethics develops and presents various ethics-related educational programs throughout the academic year for medical, nursing and physician assistant students, the community, Yale faculty as well as local, regional and national health care professionals.

Upcoming Events

We offer a diverse slate of educational events for the 2014-2015 academic year for medical, public health, nursing and physician assistant students, Yale faculty, hospital personnel and others. Guest speakers this year will include Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Tia Powell from Montefiore Medical Center, Professor Hilde Lindemann from the University of Minnesota, Dr. Roger Worthington from the UK, Dr. Robert Truog from Harvard University, Dr. John Lantos from Children's Mercy Hospital, and many others. Additionally, our faculty Bioethics Journal Club, led by Drs. Lydia Dugdale and Tom Duffy continues on a monthly basis, as does our Community Bioethics Forum (CBF) led by Ms. Lori Bruce. A Bioethics Interest Group (BIG) for medical, public health, physician assistants and nursing students also meets monthly throughout the academic year. Most of our sessions are open to all interested parties, and specifics about all of them can be found on this website.
