Perspectives on Medicine
Perspectives on Medicine brings a variety of speakers to the Sterling Hall of Medicine for talks on medical education, clinical medicine, public health, biomedical research and the state of the school. Past speakers have included university President Richard C. Levin, former surgeon general C. Everett Koop, M.D., pediatric neurosurgeon Benjamin S. Carson, M.D., and medical school Dean Robert J. Alpern, M.D. Topics range from the impact of medical care on the planet to public policy approaches to prevent childhood obesity.
Meetings are open to the Yale and medical center community and are held in Hope 110, 315 Cedar St., from 1 to 2 p.m. Lunch is served at 1 p.m., and presentations begin ten minutes later.
