Clinical Interests
Providing excellence in patient care in the nuclear medicine therapeutic and diagnostic arenas; establishing optimal protocols and strategies for molecular diagnostic and therapeutic (cold and hot=radionuclide or radio-labeled antibodies) techniques that may improve long term survival, progression free survival, and impact recurrence rates, especially but not exclusively in thyroid cancers, lymphomas and samarium bone therapies; advancing imaging techniques and improving the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of nuclear medicine studies; incorporating original radiotracers and novel Positron Emission Tomography - Computed Tomography (PET-CT) and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography - Computed Tomography (SPECT-CT) techniques into the clinic; radioactive iodine 131 treatment for thyroid cancer and hyperthyroidism; Zevalin and Bexxar treatment for lymphomas; samarium bone palliation therapy
