David W. Cheng MD, PhD
Associate Professor of Diagnostic Radiology; Chief, Nuclear Medicine; Director, Nuclear Medicine Fellowship Program; Co-Medical Director, Yale University PET Center
Research Interests
Molecular imaging
Research Summary
Dr. David W. Cheng's principle research focus is molecular imaging and therapy. He presently has a high interest in learning about the utility of PET and MR imaging. Dr. Cheng hopes that once the PET/MR prototype becomes available, he will be able to uncover a great deal on the intrinsic properties of such imaging modalities and how they may compliment each other. In the mean time, Dr. Cheng will be focusing his efforts in furthering the use of high-field MR spectroscopy with the help of colleagues at the Yale MR research center.
