ARRS Names New Officers for 2005-2006
Bruce L. McClennan, MD, professor of diagnostic radiology at Yale University School of Medicine, has been named as the 2005-2006 president of the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS). Dr. McClennan took office on May 15, during a ceremony held at the ARRS Annual Meeting in New Orleans. He is also deputy editor of RSNA News.
Dr. McClennan said he is grateful for the opportunity to serve the profession: “Leadership in radiologic societies requires an understanding of the challenges to and changes in our field. It further recognizes the enormous volunteer efforts that radiologists make to advance the missions of our societies,” he said. “Service can be its own special reward. I look forward to my opportunity to work with my colleagues to advance the educational and research causes of our great profession.”

- Vice President: Anton N. Hasso, MD, professor, department of radiological sciences, University of California, Irvine Medical Center in Orange, CA
- Secretary: Joseph K.T. Lee, MD, chair of the department of radiology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC
- Treasurer: Howard P. Forman, MD, associate professor of diagnostic radiology, Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, CT
