Changqin Wang is a Senior Statistician at CORE. He has particular expertise with CMS datasets and the analytic skills for the development and re-evaluation of risk-adjusted outcomes models for hospital quality measurement. He was the lead analyst for the projects on developing 30-day Stroke readmission, COPD mortality and readmission measures. Currently he is leading analyst for CABG mortality and readmission measures. Previously, Changqin was with United Health Group as a Senior Data Analyst, where he focused on providing DRG grouping and cost analyses from claims data. Prior to joining United Health Group, he was with GIGNA as a Senior Health Data Analyst, where his experience was in developed metrics and identification codes for Oncology, High Risk Maternity and Health Advisor Projects, and provided statistical analysis with Medical and Rx claims data. Before joining CIGNA, Changqin was a Biostatistician with PerkinElmer, Inc. Earlier in his career, Changqin was a Physician and Medical Researcher in China. He received a Master’s degree in Biostatistics from Yale University and a Master’s degree in Computer and Information Systems from Northeastern University.
