Leadership in Emergency Medicine: Yale Administrative Fellowship

This fellowship is available to individuals who have completed an ABEM-accredited residency in emergency medicine. During the two-year fellowship the fellow will complete a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program through Yale University, a clinical Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellowship in the emergency departments of Yale New Haven Hospital, as well as participate in a leadership role on projects from the office of the Chair and Vice Chair for Clinical Operations.

National Clinician Scholars Program

This is a two-year site-based training program currently located at four academic institutions including Yale University. This inter-professional program integrates physicians and nurse researchers and offers clinical and community-based research training, mentorship, and leadership opportunities.

VA Chief Residents in Quality and Patient Safety

This post-residency program is located at the Department of Veterans Affairs, West Haven, CT. Positions are available in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. Chief Residents must have completed their primary residency training for initial board eligibility and qualify for credentialing and privileging.

Yale Department of Anesthesiology Quality and Safety Fellowship

This fellowship provides anesthesiology fellows with didactic and hands-on training in quality improvement and patient safety methodologies. The fellowship is one to two years long. Fellows who select the two-year option are expected to complete the coursework necessary for a Masters in Health Science (MHS) degree. Fellows are also required to work one day a week in the operating room as part of the fellowship.

Yale School of Medicine Quality Improvement and Safety Residency Elective

This elective, offered through the Yale Academic Hospitalist program, is open to Internal Medicine residents at the Yale School of Medicine. Students can complete the elective in two to four weeks. The course provides an overview of quality improvement and safety from the viewpoint of a large academic medical center. Students participate in formal didactics, as well as hands-on training and immersion experiences.

Yale Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging Administrative Leadership in Radiology Fellowship

This two-year program includes a clinical Emergency/Trauma Radiology fellowship in the department of Diagnostic Radiology as well as an MBA through the MBA Leadership in Healthcare Program at the Yale School of Management. The fellow also participates in a leadership role in projects within the department.
