Research & Projects

Arkansas Initiative

The Arkansas - 21C Network Web Site promotes an initiative between the Yale School of the 21st Century Program and Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation in Arkansas. The ultimate goal of the Arkansas 21C Network is to ensure that more children and families throughout the state have the benefit of high-quality preschool and other 21C program services in their communities.

About the Mutt-i-grees® Curriculum

The Mutt-i-grees® Curriculum is a new, innovative program that builds on children’s affinity for animals and highlights the unique characteristics and desirability of Mutt-i-grees®, or shelter pets. The goal of the Mutt-i-grees® Curriculum is to enable children to grow up to be calm, confident, and caring.

Current Research Projects

We conduct a variety of research at the 21C national office. In addition to studying the efficacy of the overall 21C program, we undertake evaluations and studies on other relevant topics. Although these topics can be quite varied, we focus on those which inform both educational policy and practice.

National Conferences

The 21C National Conferences are leadership and staff development opportunities for educators interested in learning more about Schools of the 21st Century, Early Care and Education, School-age Care, Family Resource Centers, Community Schools, and other school-based family support programs, as well as exploring cutting edge research in the field, and developing new skills to apply to their work.

Related Programs

The School of the 21st Century program is affiliated with a number of other initiatives, programs, and organizations. The Arkansas-21c Network, The Edward Zigler Center in Child Development and Social Policy, and Comer-Zigler (Cozi) Initiative are detailed.
