for Students and Faculty from Native American Colleges and Universities
Program Description: July 30 - August 3, 2012
- Child Mental Health (inpatient, outpatient)
- Nursing
- Family support/preservations (intensive support services) and child custody
- Neurobiology (tours and lectures in genetics and neurobiological research groups)
- Developmental Disabilities (autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities)
- Substance abuse treatment approaches
- Early childhood
- Childhood Trauma/Community Policing
- Social Policy
The entire group will meet each day for lunch with a series of faculty speakers providing overviews of the range of research and clinical activities at the Center.
We particularly wish to encourage pairs of students and teachers to apply. Students or faculty can also apply independently. A total of 12 to 14 persons will be selected to participate. Included in this internship for each student selected will be round trip transportation, housing at a Yale University (air conditioned) dormitory, and a stipend to cover the cost of food for the week period. Students will be requested to arrive by Sunday afternoon July 28th and for those wishing to do so an optional day trip to New York City (by train) can be arranged for Saturday August 4th.

A resume or CV would also be helpful if you have one, however this is not a requirement.

Interns will be selected and notified by June 1st at which time there will be further information provided to those selected candidates including instructions on arranging travel and information on additional required paper work.
