Treatment of Tourette Syndrome in Children with N-Acetylcysteine (NAC)
Purpose
To determine whether N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) is effective in treating children with Tourette syndrome (TS).
Criteria for Participation
- Children 8-17 with chronic Tourette syndrome.
Research Components
Subjects receive active N-Acetylcysteine (a natural supplement) or a placebo and can remain on current medications. Treatment is free and participants are paid up to $150 for participation in the study.
