How We Help

MTB home visitors help families in many ways, including:

  • strengthening early parent-child relationships
  • helping with stress
  • supporting positive health, mental health, and child growth
  • building babies’ brains, skills, and talents
  • teaching ways to be more thoughtful, responsive, and reflective

Research has shown that MTB families are helped in the following ways:

  • mothers are more reflective and responsive to their babies’s needs
  • babies are more securely attached to their mothers
  • babies are more likely to have on-time pediatric immunizations
  • families have less child protection involvement
  • mothers see fewer behavior problems as their children grow
